You and your provider will discuss your condition and any relevant details. You will go over your paperwork and relevant imaging before your exam. Don't forget to share any recent accidents or injuries that you don't associate with your chief complaint as they could still be relevant.

After discussion, a thorough examination will be performed. During this exam you will be going through a functional movement assessment, a range of motion screen, and orthopedic and neurological testing to determine the root cause of your condition. If it is determined that further imaging is necessary you may be referred out for x-ray before treatment is administered. Don't worry, most conditions dictate a conservative treatment plan before imaging is warranted.

Treatment will be performed based on the results of the exam. This may include adjustment, soft tissue therapy, dry needling, therapeutic exercise or any other treatment option that is deemed necessary.

After treatment, you will discuss the frequency and duration of your treatment plan with your provider based on the goals of your treatment.  At this time you will likely be given take home stretches and/or exercises and have the opportunity to discuss any further questions you may have.
