Tom Brady

Our sports performance services help athletes unlock their full potential. We focus on improving mobility, strength, and stability to enhance athletic performance and reduce the risk of injury. Movement Screen
We utilize a screen that identifies movement patterns that may be contributing to pain or limiting performance. By assessing how your body moves holistically, we can pinpoint areas of dysfunction or imbalance and address the root cause of your issue. This allows our sports chiropractor to create a personalized treatment and training plan to improve mobility, stability, and overall movement quality.
What is a Sports Chiropractor?
-
A sports chiropractor is a specialized healthcare provider who plays a key role in helping athletes maintain their physical health, recover from injuries, and perform at their best.

-
Utilizes an in-depth understanding of the unique needs and demands placed on athletes to assess, diagnose, and treat sports-related conditions and injuries effectively.

-
Uses techniques such as functional movement assessments and muscle testing to identify areas of weakness or dysfunction that may be contributing to an athlete's injury or decreased performance.

-
Sports chiropractors often work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals such as sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, and athletic trainers to ensure comprehensive care for athletes.

-
Common techniques used by sports chiropractors include spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitative exercises, dry needling, and ergonomic and biomechanical assessments. They may also provide guidance on nutrition, injury prevention strategies, and sport-specific training protocols.
What is a CCSP?
Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner® (CCSP®) is a postgraduate designation by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians™ (ACBSP™). The CCSP® certification requires the doctor to attend a minimum of 100 hours of a 120 hour postgraduate program. This instruction is specific to physical fitness and the evaluation and treatment of injuries encountered in sports. Following the completion of these hours, the doctor must then take and successfully pass a comprehensive written examination. This training will aid the doctor in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries by enhancing his diagnostic skills and patient care. The CCSP® certification exists to provide a uniform standard of education that assures teams and athletes that the doctor has met a minimum level of competency in chiropractic sports medicine.

According to a 2002 study, only 31 percent of NFL teams employed chiropractors. Today every NFL team employs at least one chiropractor. This is partially due to the revelations found in the study:

-
Chiropractic treatments helped players perform better and heal faster

-
More than 77 percent of team managers were referring their players to chiropractors anyway

-
The teams that did not employ chiropractors understood that players were seeking chiropractic care outside the ball clubs
Today many professional teams and organizations, from all sports, employ chiropractors to help keep their athletes performing at peak efficiency.
